The RISC User Fonts Discs were collections of outline fonts and associated utilities. Some of the fonts and utilities had appeared previously on RISC User Discs, but most had not. The first three Fonts Discs were packaged together in an attractive cardboard wallet, whilst the fourth and fifth discs appeared later.

As there is a fair amount of overlap in terms of the utilities provided on the five discs (e.g. the menu system and a copy of ShowFonts appeared on each disc), they have all been merged together into a single archive for this CD release. The menu system now encompasses all font collections and utilities. However, the fonts themselves are still divided into five separate directories which can be enabled and disabled independently for convenience.

For this release, the ShowFonts application has been updated and a new set of fonts provided in an extra fonts folder. The additional fonts comprise (a) a few brand new fonts, (b) a large number of extra weights for fonts already in the collection, (c) RISC User fonts that were not previously included in the collection, and (d) public domain fonts published on RISC User discs.
